I would honestly rate this sample more of a 4.5 out of 5. Slight uneven bevels, but I suspect these are ground by hand so not a huge issue for a production knife. Out of box sharpness not standard spyderco sharp, however the steel really does take well to a 12k shapton and strop. I don’t like such a polished edge normally however it was shaving sharp after the strop and the blade shape lends itself to sharpening extremely well. Overall recommend.
