RMJ specializes in designing and producing tomahawks for a wide variety of uses and situations and the Loggerhead embodies that ethos as much or more than any other model. The Loggerhead is a high-performance hammer poll tomahawk that fits in wherever it is needed. It's a great outdoor adventure tomahawk for hikes and camping, and a robust first responder breach and extraction tool. If necessary the Loggerhead can cut electrical wires, breach an electric vehicle or work around live wires. It harkens to the RMJ mantra of one tool, many tasks. The tomahawk features a 3” forward facing edge that is razor sharp, combined with a hammer poll that can be used for great amounts of hammering force when needed. The head will work for shattering tempered glass, breaching windshields, penetrating sheet metal, hacking through concrete and wood, and many other heavy duty applications. RMJ makes an effort to create tools that keep you prepared for anything when out in the field, whether that's a serious emergency situation or a day hike with friends.

What sets the Loggerhead apart from other tools is insulated rubber over-molded handle. The advantage of such a design is not only a great grip but vibration reduction and that fact that the handle is insulated. The Loggerhead has been tested to provide insulation up to 2,000 volts. If the tool is being used to chop through a wall and happens to connect with a live electrical wire, a good degree of protection exists from getting electrocuted. The butt end of the grip features a cap that screws off to gain access to a small storage compartment.  The ax features a Tungsten Cerakote finish for corrosion and wear resistance and a low visibility look. Included is a molded, bottom-eject kydex sheath and low-ride M.O.C. straps.

RMJ LOGGERHEAD

This purchase was an absolute blessing seeing as Rob allowed me to purchase this RMJ VALHALLA VALIDATED LOGGERHEAD on layaway for my sons 15th B-day helping me secure a piece of RMJ that had eluded me for literally years due to price and low production/release counts. Rob sent out my order THE DAY I made my last payment and was always immediately attentive to answer any questions I had along the way. This is my second purchase from NK and both purchases arrived in the most secure and impressive triple layer protection..it was wrapped so well for a second I thought it was my birthday. I’ve received $4-500.00 knives from other businesses sent in a random oversized box, slightly taped, just bouncing around with no packaging filler before—let alone several layers of protection. For me that tells you a lot about who just took your money and who actually cares that once your item is paid for it gets to you in perfect condition ?….The Loggerhead was ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!! as ALWAYS RMJ brings together elegance, balance and murderous fit n finish!…from grip to tip it just can’t be fully appreciated until you hold it in your hands….Now I own a RMJ-Shrike and my son now loves his RMJ-Loggerhead, I can’t wait to get out and see him use it…Thanks again Rob @ NK from both of us, for making this purchase happen.

Quality you can bet your life on.

An excellent addition to any collection and a serious woodman's tool as well. I have to fell my own trees for my wood stove or I go cold in the winter. Only had this a few weeks and it's already paid for itself. Excellent for limbing small tree limbs and thick brush. There is a lot of old Romex running under the undergrowth here and much of it is live. This is to power various wells and other structures on the property. It's a complete mess but it was done before my time and I've no idea where the lines run until I stumble upon them. The insulted handle should keep me from getting a very nasty surprise until I can run new power lines above ground.
